This year SMP ventured out to Cardfields for our annual holiday. After spending the last 10 years camping we thought we would try something different. Not knowing what we would be faced with we went with open minds and ready to enjoy a new adventure.
Who would have thought that only an hour’s drive from our normal destination would be this quaint and beautiful place with stunning settings and comfort beyond our imagination.
What we found in my opinion is a new summer home for us all to make new memories. Our group is one of a kind and a group that can camp and holiday together stay together.
We felt so comfortable in our new surroundings and the fantastic hosts, Elaine and John, ensured that we immediately felt warmth and familiarity.
The rooms were of a hotel standard and the kitchen, dining and lounge areas all suited us down to a T! Some of our gang even ventured out to the local pub and tea rooms where they drank local beer and ate delicious scones. To say we were right at home would be an understatement. Even a visit from Godzilla couldn’t put us off.
Would we return? Absolutely. Will we return 100%!! In fact, we were all so eager that we have even changed our normal weekend away so we can return in 2017 and booked up for 2018 as well.
What a wonderful place Cardfields is and what an honour to be welcomed back in the future.
We think we’ve found a home from home and I along with all my family at SMP hold a very special place in our hearts here. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a wonderful place. We all look forward to coming back again in 2017. Until then we will be counting down the days…….
